Welcome to ÉTS!

Congratulations on being accepted to ÉTS! Before you set foot on campus, you will need to complete various steps and do some serious planning to prepare for your arrival in Montréal. You will also want to familiarize yourself with academic concepts and regulations and with how ÉTS works to ensure your studies are successful from both an academic and personal standpoint.

Information webinars

Looking to gain a better understanding of immigration procedures, pre-departure preparations, how ÉTS works, and basic academic concepts and university regulations? Sign up for our informative and interactive information sessions and get answers to your questions from one of our international student advisors.

This webinar is intended for international students who have been admitted to a study program at ÉTS that is longer than 6 months in duration. As such, you are required to obtain certain documents in order to study in Canada (CAQ, study permit, eTA or visa). The processing times for obtaining your official documents can take several months, so it's important to start the application process as soon as possible. A regulated international student immigration advisor (RISIA) will present to you the process of applying for these documents and answer your questions.

Prior to attending the workshop, please refer to the information on our website and also to the instructions available in your MonÉTS portal.

This is probably the first time you will study in an academic system that differs from the one you are familiar with in your home country. One distinctive feature of the Quebec system is that you must register for your courses yourself once you have been admitted. This webinar will help you understand our course registration tool: Cheminot. Please read the general information on this topic for your admission program to help prepare your questions before the webinar:
